Crisis Intervention
On
July 1, 2003 the Crisis Intervention program for Butler County
changed its base of operations from the Irene Stacy Community Mental
Health Center to the Center for Community Resources, located
at the Holly Pointe Building in downtown
Butler.
There are three
distinct services offered:
-
Crisis Telephone Service – This
consists of a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week hotline which can assess
calls, provide information, and, if needed, dispatch aid. The toll
free Crisis Line is 800-292-3866.
-
Crisis Walk-in Service – This service
is available at our Holly Pointe site, located in Suite 101 at 220
South Main Street in Butler, from 8am – 4pm Monday though Friday.
After-hour walk-in service may be available by appointment.
Walk-in services are scheduled by calling the toll free Crisis
Line (800-292-3866).
-
Crisis Mobile Service – This service
is available from 9am to 12am Monday through Saturday and from
12pm until 8pm on Sunday. Crisis Mobile Services are community
based, providing intervention and outreach throughout Butler
County. Mobile Crisis can be reached through the toll free Crisis
Line (800-292-3866).
All requests for a
Mental Health Delegate (302) can be made by calling the 800 number
listed above. The crisis worker will ask the caller to provide
information about the situation. The Crisis Worker will page the
delegate who will determine whether sufficient grounds exist to
proceed with an involuntary commitment. However, the goal of the
crisis worker will always be to resolve the crisis in the least
restrictive manner.
